Monteavaro holds a BFA from Tyler School of Art at Temple University and balances her visual practice with music, drumming in Holly Hunt and her solo sound project Ellen Ripley. Her work has been exhibited internationally at major venues including Miami Art Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami, The National Museum of Women in the Arts (DC), Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin (Paris), Tent (Rotterdam), and Annina Nosei Gallery (NYC). Solo Shows include  Locust Projects, Emerson Dorsch Gallery, Fredric Snitzer Gallery, and The Bob Rauschenberg Gallery, among many others.
